In early August, several heavy rainstorms swept through the region, swelling reservoirs and transforming familiar landscapes into rare, fleeting scenes of natural beauty. Along the shores, the waterside paperbarks stood in quiet resilience. Our founder and colleagues took a walk to witness these dramatic changes firsthand, a reminder of nature's power and fragility.

That same week, Mr. Mok Wing Cheong, Director of Drainage Services Department in Hong Kong, shared a sobering statistic at an environmental industry reception. During the 20 hours stretch of rainstorm signals hosted between 4th & 5th August, 3 of the main storm water storage and drainage systems held back a total volume of water equivalent to 102 Olympic sized swimming pools. Without these infrastructures, the city streets could have faced catastrophic flooding.

This is the reality we face. As extreme weather events become more frequent and intense, we must ask ourselves: Why is this happening?
The answer lies in global warming, an invisible force reshaping ecosystems we once took for granted.
These moments, both beautiful and alarming, serve as a powerful call to action!
We must act with urgency and determination to protect our planet, before more disasters strike.
